After studying Psychology at the University of Amsterdam (graduated in love and passion), Marion Donner worked in politics, development work and nightlife. She is related to every other Donner, including the so-called Donner party whose members ate each other in Sierra Nevada in 1846 due to great famine, and wrote two novels. “8.30 am: revolt” was her debut, in early 2011 “Lily” came out. She writes for De Groene Amsterdammer, De Volkskrant, NRC Handelsblad and once had a column in nrc.next
