Van Leeuwenhoeklezing: Wat satellieten ons vertellen over Mars

Ruim een eeuw geleden begon professor Vening Meinesz van de TU Delft met baanbrekend onderzoek naar het zwaartekrachtsveld van onze planeet. Hij voerde jarenlang metingen uit aan boord van onderzeeërs. Deze gegevens vormden de basis voor nieuwe inzichten in de structuur van het binnenste van de aarde en leidde uiteindelijk tot de ontwikkeling van speciale satellietmissies.
