The Talmud is one of the most significant texts in Judaism, and among the most unique in the world. Each page consists of contributions from multiple authors, spanning centuries – commentary on commentary. Some have argued that the Talmud is a ‘hypertext’ featuring complex internal references, a dialogue on every page.
Join us to learn about the Talmud, how it was composed, and how it is interpreted. We’ll learn about law, cooking, hermeneutics, and more from our visiting speaker Rene Michel.
This event is organized by VOX Delft and supported by Studium Generale
