A special edition of SG’s writing group, this session will examine the self in relationship to others within the themes of loneliness. We will explore and make use of the interactive artworks of Laurent Mignonneau & Christa Sommerer (presented in the Library) to look into themes such as portraiture, fleeting connections, and selfie culture. This session will be hosted by Vincent Cellucci, curator and author and programme maker for the TU Delft Library Learning Centre.
More about the Writing Huddles at the Nook:
SG is starting a new writing group for all levels. We are offering a space where you can focus on your work while still getting support and encouragement. Come along to the Nook 12:45-14:00 every other Thursday. Share what you’re working on, get feedback from your peers, learn new tips and tricks from a professional, or simply sit and write! Creative writing is encouraged, but if you are working on coursework, you are also more than welcome to join.
Explore SG’s related events this quarter on the theme: Loneliness
Is loneliness a totally normal, private feeling? Is it an epidemic caused by technology? Is it a silent killer or a beautiful part of being human? The Studium Generale theme for this quarter is Loneliness. Through a series of events focusing on loneliness, we can look at this fascinating phenomenon through different lenses. From writing workshops to philosophical examinations, we invite you to connect with others and talk through what loneliness means to you.
