Please note – this is the new date and location for this event (originaaly Tuesday, January 7th 2025)
We are continuously choosing what to focus on. We encounter clickbait almost every day. Websites want our engagement and advertisers want our attention. Often, sneaky tactics are used to trick us into clicking links, looking longer, buying, etc. Obviously it’s not wrong as such to try to get people’s attention, we do it every day. But where do we draw the line, and how? Called ‘dark patterns’ by some, a growing body of research studies the methods and ethics of online influence, manipulation, and attention grabbing. What’s right, what’s wrong, and what should we do about it?
Join us for this talk, Tuesday 7th of January in the Nook from 19:00. It will be good for you. We promise.
This event is organized by VOX Delft in collaboration with SG.
