As you’re reading this, dozens of conflicts rage around the world, many of which you may never have heard of. Or if you have, perhaps you’ve forgotten. Seldom-mentioned wars continue in Myanmar, Ethiopia, the Maghreb, and Sudan claiming tens of thousands of lives per year. Invisible cyber conflicts, digital wars of information meanwhile, are waged remotely, often on the very sites where we spend our free time – invisible before our eyes.
What determines whether any given war is noticed? Which victories do we celebrate? Which lives do we mourn? And what does all of this say about us?
Join us next Tuesday the 15th of October to discuss the world of the hidden wars. As always, we are meeting at The Nook at 19:00, snacks and drinks are on us.
This event is organized by VOX Delft in collaboration with SG.
