VOX Discussion Night: What makes a good conversation?

Listening and sharing can be hard, especially for personal, controversial, or unfamiliar topics. Allegedly, we are also more and more divided. Complicating matters, a lot of our conversations take place on the internet, through text, emoji’s, memes, reposted news stories, etc.

With all these changes, what is the role of the real-life conversations we still have? Have they changed over the years, both in shape and purpose? What does a good conversation look like in 2025? What skills does one need to be a good conversationalist? How can we practice and improve?

Join us Tuesday 11 February in the Nook from 19:00-21:00 to have this candid conversation about conversations  😉

This event is organized by VOX Delft in collaboration with SG.

Explore SG’s and the TUD Library’s related events this quarter on the theme: Language x Power

The stories we tell construct our reality, shaping our minds and the way we see the world, ourselves, and each other. But who wrote these stories, and to what end? Are we telling ourselves tales to liberate or dominate, to hope or despair? Can we tell those stories differently? And if so, what would we change?
