Writing Huddle: Body Language

If you want your stories to feel alive, you need to learn to paint pictures with your words. This session, we’re focusing on bodies. How do you make your characters sexy, or pained, cool or intense? Can you make your reader taste, touch, hear, see, and smell your world? We will desconstruct examples from world literature and experiment with descriptive techniques. Come along and try your hand!

Share what you’re working on, get feedback from your peers, learn new tips and tricks from a professional, or simply sit and write!

Explore SG’s and the TUD Library’s related events this quarter on the theme: Language x Power

The stories we tell construct our reality, shaping our minds and the way we see the world, ourselves, and each other. But who wrote these stories, and to what end? Are we telling ourselves tales to liberate or dominate, to hope or despair? Can we tell those stories differently? And if so, what would we change?
