Recording: Diversity Talks | Inclusive Design and Technology
You are cordially invited to our third lecture ‘Inclusive Design and Technology’ on Thursday 14 March 2019, 12.30 hrs at the faculty of Industrial Design and Technology in the Joost van der Grinten Hall.
During this event we will bring the discussion about inclusion towards the work done in the university, the research and the design that takes place here. We will explore what an inclusive technology is, and how can it be designed. Also, we’ll discuss current challenges and opportunities that scientists and engineers face when seeking to develop more inclusive technologies, including research funding. Contributions are made by Lotte Asveld, Assistant Professor at the faculty of Applied Sciences, who studies the societal aspects of biotechnological innovations, Ibo van de Poel, Professor in Ethics and Technology at the faculty of Technology, Policy and Management and Servaas Duterloo, Head of Unit Research Funding EU and International Programmes.
