Existential Tuesday: How do you deal with existential dread?

If you sit still too long without any distraction, you might get that nagging feeling that you really exist and that you have no idea why.

It’s so annoying that they have a name for it: existential dread.

Seeing as it’s the start of a new academic year, and because you haven’t had the comfort of the weekly Existential Tuesdays for a while, let’s take a moment to investigate this feeling. What does it mean? When does it happen? Why does it happen? How do you approach it? Do you confront it? Seek professional help? Fall into a pit of despair? Ignore it? Go on a spiritual quest? Focus on your career, fill up your agenda, endlessly doomscroll or hopescroll so there’s no gaps or leaks for that existential feeling to drip drip drip into your consciousness?

This will be a light existential discussion (he wrote with a twinkle in his eye), with no wrong answers and lots of questions.
