Existential Tuesday: What are the life questions you have no answers to?

A new academic quarter begins. But linear time is an illusion, so let’s dive deep into the mysteries of life and make things more complicated than they need to be, right now.

What cosmic mysteries boggle your mind? Which curious assumptions do you think humans live by without ever questioning them? We’ll take this moment to pause together in the face of these mysteries. Maybe you want to know why there is something instead of nothing; or maybe you want to know why you’re lactose intolerant in a world with so many delicious milk-based delicacies. If there is no answer apparent, no satisfying solution, we’ll add the questions to a list and wonder out loud what it is about the human condition that makes these questions so interminably unanswerable. Are our questions wrong? Are our answers waiting to be revealed in a distant future? Is our language the problem? What about ignorance and uncertainty?

Come ponder the existence of existential mysteries together.
