Poetry, as a form of expression, should not be limited to print media. It should be spoken aloud and heard. Spoken word poetry is poetry meant to be shared on stage. Join us for a workshop presented by TU Delft’s poetry club Verse It! to learn this art form. We will do some spoken word writing exercises and then focus on spoken word recitation, teaching you how to do your poems justice when reading them out loud.

Najiba Abdellaoui is a communications advisor, poet, and children’s book author. In 2008, she was the first woman to win the Dutch Poetry Slam Championship. This enabled her to share her poetic work in various national and international venues.
