Weekly yoga/meditation sessions @EWI, by and for students and staff. Sign up for the mailing list through Studium Generale program manager Klaas Pieter – k.p.vandertempel@tudelft.nl
Engineers, like everyone else, are human beings with worries, doubts, and emotions. But there are those on campus who have excellent skills in dealing with these issues, and they are offering through SG to share those skills with everyone. So if you’re looking for a way to effectively approach your mind and your mental states, consider trying a yoga/meditation session. SG facilitates a weekly lunch session, 12:30-1:30pm, with yoga stretching, breathing techniques, and a guided mediation led by experienced students. There is also time for questions at the end. These sessions are completely free for students, staff, and visitors.
Since the dates and locations aren’t fixed, we have a mailing list to send a weekly update on the upcoming sessions. You don’t have to sign up for the sessions, but it can be helpful for your planning to sign up for the mailing list. To do so just send an email to Klaas at k.p.vandertempel@tudelft.nl
Trainers so far include Aditya Kamalapurkar, recent graduate of TPM; Rajat Bharadwaj, PhD student at Chemical Engineering; and Mascha van Oossanen, staff member at Applied Sciences. Currently, Masters student Kim Vollenhoven, who studies Construction Management and Engineering, leads the sessions. Kim is an excellent yoga and meditation instructor who also does karate on the side.
Sessions are usually small (8-15 people) with a dynamic mix of different ages, Dutch and internationals, students and staff.
You’re most welcome to join!
